Spend an evening with Meadowbrook's beavers

This free program May 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Pond offers an up-close look at beavers, information about co-existing with these furry friends in the city, and an opportunity for children to "get inside" beaver adaptations as they don goggles, flippers and a tail during "Living With Beavers." (To volunteer at this fun event, email Jennifer.)


Get ready for new rates with custom postage

Students observe Thornton CreekPostal rates increase May 11. Homewaters Project has designed two new custom U.S. postage stamps featuring students and adults outdoors. You need new stamps, and Homewaters Project will receive a royalty from every purchase! View all of our designs.


What's new around Thornton Creek?

After 50 years, water will flow above the ground at Northgate! Attend the Thornton Creek Water Quality Channel ribbon-cutting ceremony at Northgate June 6, 12-4 p.m. Take a mini-tour, and let your children have fun with Homewaters Project's hands-on watershed activities.

Come back a week later for a Homewaters-guided Thornton Creek Walk June 13 along the Water Quality Channel and through Park #6. Mark these dates on your calendar now, and watch our website for more details.
